Paphos consist of two main areas the coastal resort area (which known as Kato Paphos or old Paphos) and the town itself (which known as Pano Paphos or new Paphos). Pano Paphos is four Kilometers driving distance from Kato Paphos.

Paphos city was destroyed twice, first by an earthquake and second by the Arab raiders in the 7th century.

Paphos is a historical and mythical city, Paphos is the birth place of the Goddess of Love and beauty Aphrodite. Paphos used to be the capital of Cyprus on the Roman Times.

At first Paphos was a small village but nowadays became the most attractive and beautiful town in the whole island with a population of just 38.000.

Paphos attracts tourist from all around the world, but mostly English German and Scandinavian tourists. Paphos has a lot to show to its visitors from ancient mosaics floors, archeological museum, the Byzantine Castle of Paphos, Aphrodite Pock or "Petra tou Romiou", the beautiful old harbour, the Tomb of the Kings, the temple of Aphrodite and many more.
