At the end of the harbour there is the Castle of Paphos, originally built as a Byzantine fort to protect the harbour and rebuilt by the Lusignans in the 13 century.

In 1570 dismantled again by the Venetians against the Ottomans, who restored and strengthened it after they captured the island.

Visitors can visit the Castle of Paphos every day from 9am till 6pm (summer period) and 9am till 5pm (winter period)

Paphos fort is very close to restaurants, traditional taverns, water sports, cafes souvenirs and shops.
