Paphos Mosaics

Paphos mosaics are actually part of a larger archeological site that includes a theatre and a ruined castle. You need to spent few hours to make the most of the site.

It is located in Paphos, with the entrance is in the harbour area (Kato Paphos Area). If you are out of town you can catch the bus from the harbour and will take you there within two - three minutes. If you are driving, there is a huge free car park beside the mosaics site.

There is a small entry fee usually CYP 1 and the opening hours are from October till March from 8am to 5pm, from April to May and September from 8am to 6pm, June to August from 8am to 7pm.

The main sites that you must see when you are there are the House of Dionysos, The House of Theseus, the House of Aion, The House of Orpheus and the House of Four Seasons.

Its better is you buy the mosaics guidebook to help you around since the area is very big, although helpful signposts exist to direct you to the various parts. Most of the times there are a lot of coach party tours with guides and this can obscure your views.

The mosaics themselves are stunning, and some of them are under shelter. At the exit there is a souvenir shop.

It would be a crime to be in Paphos and not visit the mosaics!
